Description
-Handle 2nd level tickets, e.g. access management, troubleshooting, escalating to 3rd level
-Handle 3rd level IT tickets, e.g. troubleshooting, root cause analysis, etc.
-Monitor and subsequently handle service deviations and alerts
-Install, integrate, and maintain Linux Compute Farm
-Manage MySQL Database service and related processes, e.g. tuning, capacity planning
-Script to automate various administration tasks
-Proactively drives continuous improvement efforts to meet data center health goals, as well as emerging capacity and performance needs
-Interacts with end users, IT partners, system architects, and service and support teams worldwide
-Position might include on-call support out of office hours

Qualifications
-Bachelor's or a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields
-Minimum of 2 years related working experience in Linux & MySQL administration
-Proficient in RedHat / SUSE / Ubuntu and Shell / Perl scripting
-Experienced in administrating LAMP and monitoring tools
-Experienced in High Performance Computing and LSF / NetBatch
-Good understanding of networking, LDAP, NFS, automount
-Strong written and verbal communications skills
-Excellent English language skills - both written and spoken
-Patient and professional interaction with the end user
-Strong analytical and problem solving skills
-Proficient in Microsoft Office
-A team player
-Good time management abilities and flexibility on multiple task assignments
-Proactive problem solving abilities
-Ability to be flexible in working hours to interact with peers from other regions
