Job Description
The job involves driving the physical design
of high density boards supporting the Tablet product segment, from feasibility
phase till the tape out. The engineer must work with a multi-disciplined team
of engineers consisiting of Board Design Engineers, Power Delivery Engineers,
Signal Integrity and Power Integrity Engineers, Mech Engineers, IC Package
Development Engineers, Program managers, DFM and DFT Engineers, and External
PCB Fab vendors. The job also entails supporting the Library development -
schematic and footprint symbols. The engineer is expected to develop and drive
the CAD development schedule and own the Layout/CAD reviews with all the
stakeholders.
Desired Profile
Knowledge Requirements:
Must possess good knowledge related to Board
stack-up definition for high speed signals (ex: xDDR*, PCIe, SATA). Good
knowledge on board geometries for high density multi-layer boards is required.
Proven application of knowledge in delivering high density boards from
feasibility phase till tape out is needed. Must be familiar with the IPC
standards.
Skills Needed:
Strong exeperience with Allegro and Concept
HDL Schematic Entry tools
Experience in routing high speed signals,
with good understanding of electrical fundamentals
Library creation - Schematics and Footprint
Gerber release for Fab
DFM and DFT, in relation to Board
Fab/Assembly
Experience of working with teams spread
across multiple geographies is advantageous
Required Education
Bachelor Engineering Degree - Electronics
Major preferred.
Polytechnic/Associate Degree holders will be
considered.
Experience Level
Minimum of 8 years is required for Bachelor
Degree holders.
Polyechnic candidates with 10+ years will be
considered.
