Job Description
24X7 production support
Writing Unix scripts using command line in command
line editors connecting through putty or Exceed emulators and compliant to
standards.
Ability to do the reviews and follow the process
methodologies and documentation
Performs production support including after-hours
during India day and evening time

Rotational Shifts

Minimum Qualifications: At-least 2+ yrs of
hands-on IT experience in production support
Must to Have - Skills :
Technical:
UNIX: Understanding of the Unix OS, command line
commands and how to script and use command line editors, IE: vi or pico. The
ability to connect to various UNIX Servers using Putty or Exceed emulators is a
must. Having the know how to delete files and tell who the owner of files are
to help clean up files systems.
AutoSys: The ability to run AutoSys jobs, and
understand how to search for jobs if the job name and environment are made
available. How to create new jobs and request how to modify existing jobs.
SQL: Advanced SQL Query writing experience in
gathering information from SQL Server, Sybase, and Oracle databases
Non-Technical:
The ability to make decisions in a fast paced
environment.
The ability to know when to escalate a problem to
ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Good verbal and written communication skills as
most of the communication with US counterparts is through emails and phone
conversations
Good problem solving and analytical skills
Should be detail oriented, able to multi task
Demonstrated ability to learn the business
quickly.
Self-starter. Team player.
